How reliable is the Dodge Dart? What NHTSA's records show
We don't give the Dart a reliability score. NHTSA publishes complaint counts but no sales figures, so complaints can't be turned into a rate or compared between models. Here is what's on file for model years 2012 on.

Every model year compared
Complaints rise with how many were sold and how long they've been on the road, so a newer or rarer year will show fewer. Compare years of the Dart with each other.

Safety recalls
11 recalls cover at least one Dart model year. Each covers a range of VINs, not every car. Check one car at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
The shifter cable may detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the park (P) position and causing a loss of park function.
The shifter cable bushing may fail allowing the shift cable to detach from the transmission.
A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V824-0103.pdf.
Due to voltage spikes caused by a problem within the windshield washer pump, the windshield wiper circuit may fail.
Additionally included are certain 2015 Dodge Dart vehicles similarly equipped and brought in for dealer service between September 15, 2015 and January 12, 2016.
In affected vehicles, engine oil from the vacuum pump may seep into the brake booster, damaging a component within the brake booster.
The affected vehicles may experience failure of the transmission control module (TCM), causing the transmission to unexpectedly shift into neutral.
The affected vehicles were built with a premium instrument cluster and Lowline Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
In the affected vehicles, the front seat mounted side airbags (SAB) may not have been properly installed into the seat.
These vehicles may experience an engine stall when the temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
Some vehicles may have been built with incorrect rear brake calipers, which could result in an inoperable parking brake.

Was the work actually done on the car you're looking at?
Model-year records can't tell you about one car. A Dodge service history check returns that vehicle's own dealer records by VIN.
