Toyota tire pressures

Toyota Corolla tire pressure

The cold tire pressures Toyota prints in its owner's manuals for each Corolla tire size, by generation — Corolla (12th gen, E210) (2019 on), Corolla (11th gen, E170) (2014–2019) and Corolla (10th gen, E140) (2009–2013). Find your tire size on the sidewall, then read across.

Notes from the owner's manuals
  • 195/65R15 91S: 2020 sedan manual; the 2021 Corolla Hybrid manual (OM12N83U) prints the same figure for this size. Type E has no spare.
  • 195/65R15 91S: The 2023 (from June 2023 production) manual prints a lower figure for this size than the 2020 sedan manual.
  • 195/65R15 91S: Type B has no spare.
  • 205/55R16 91H: Same figure in the 2023 manual (Type B). Type F has no spare.
  • 205/55R16 91V: Listed in the 2020 manual, not in the 2023 one.
  • 225/40R18 88V: Same figure in the 2023 manual (Type C).
What the owner's manuals don't say
  • Toyota prints several 'types' with different pressures and does not say how to tell which one a car has — the Tire and Loading Information label on the driver's door pillar shows the figure for that car.
  • MY2019 is the hatchback only (the 2019 sedan is the E170)
  • 2021–2022 and 2024–2025 sedan manuals not read; the 2023 figure for 195/65R15 differs from the 2020 one
  • Corolla GR (GR Corolla) not covered

Figures marked "Owner's manual" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the manual prints. Nothing here has been checked against your vehicle: if it disagrees with the placard on the door jamb, the placard wins.

Tire pressure questions

What should the tire pressure be on a Toyota Corolla?

It depends on the tire size. For the sizes Toyota lists, the cold pressure is 30–38 psi at the front and 30–36 psi at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tires cold.

What size tires does a Toyota Corolla take?

Toyota fitted the Corolla with 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 215/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, depending on the model year and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tire; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tire pressure placard on a Toyota Corolla?

On the driver's door jamb — the Tire and Loading Information placard. It gives the same cold pressures as the owner's manual, which is where the figures on this page come from; if the two ever disagree, go by the placard on your vehicle.
